We are proud to announce that our law firm prevailed in a long standing dispute with City of Texas City on behalf of our client. Our client's business was targeted by the City for some alleged code violations in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic. Although we made best efforts to resolve the dispute without litigation, the City took a hardline despite several due process violations. Eventually, the City was granted a Plea to Jurisdiction. Determined to fight the overreach by the City, we appealed the decision, and in 4th Quarter of 2022, the Court of Appeals agreed with us, and reversed and remanded the case back to District Court.
